How it's Done - Quit Smoking The Easy Way

Quite often I must remind people I work with they are not responsible for things that occurred to them in the past. The trick, they soon discover, to being powerful and in charge of their life today, is to take responsibility for how they THINK about what happened to them in the past. How they feel about themselves and picture themselves today, right now.

Sometime in the past you decided to be a smoker. That's what you began to think about yourself, you identified with being a smoker. You did what smokers do. You thought the thoughts of a smoker.

Today you've decided to stop smoking and be a non-smoker. Think about it, for years after you were born you didn't smoke; your weren't a "smoker". You were a "non-smoker". So the truth of the matter is you already know how a non-smoker thinks, feels and acts, you're good at being a "non-smoker."
